San Francisco, CA. In celebration of Filipino-American History month, the Philippine Consulate General, San Francisco and the Bataan Legacy Historical Society will present the 70TH Anniversary of the Battle of Leyte Gulf and Stories from WWII in the Philippines on Friday, October 24 at 6PM.The event will take place at the Philippine Consulate General office located at 447 Sutter St., Social Hall, San Francisco, CA 94108.  Admission is Free. For purposes of preselection, auditions are now being conducted to choose 20 finalists to the Miss Australasian 2014. It is a community outreach pilot project in the form of a beauty pageant with a difference and for a great cause involving young multicultural women aged 18 to 28, all vying for the prestigious title of Miss Australasian.
