De La Salle University Alumni won by 814 points. The event was held at the AMF Castle Hill on July 25. 2016. Lead scorer for the Ateneo team was lawyer Kate Roc Andres of Ateneo Law School. She struck down 589 pins. Andres is the incumbent president of the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales and past president of Ateneo Alumni Australia. The majority of Ateneo players were from Ateneo de Davao.

Former basketball player and coach Carlos “Caloy” Loyzaga passed away on January 27, 2016. He was 85. ABS-CBN Sports Channel reported. Loyzaga was a two-time Olympian as part of the Philippines men’s national basketball team. Loyzaga is undoubtedly the greatest Filipino to ever play basketball. He died around 7 a.m. at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center. (more…)
