He brought a wealth of experience and fulfilment to his family, loved ones and clients. He was 73.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>His distinguished career spanned 39 years in three cities \u2013 Manila, Vancouver and Edmonton. His broadcasting career began at age 16 with a company that grew into the Philippines\u2019 largest network. In 1960, he hosted Jam Session, the first live shindig TV show at ABS-CBN. <\/p>\n<p>Bobby hosted the Beatles during their appearance in 1966 as well as interviewed them for articles in the Manila Bulletin. He was the regular play-by-play announcer for the NCAA basketball games as well as for Sunday boxing. He also taught at De La Salle University and Philippine Women\u2019s University in Manila. <\/p>\n<p>When he moved to Canada, Bobby became announcer for CJVB, Vancouver\u2019s afternoon drive time 1973-77 and hosted the syndicated TV program Journal International 1973-77. He then hosted afternoon drive time on CHQT Edmonton from 1977-1993.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his loving wife, Marylou, and sons Ron, Chris and Brent, brothers John DK Ng (Toronto, CA), Larry (Sydney, AU), and Kay (Don Lee) Ng (Manila). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well-known TV personality Bobby Ng passed away in Alberta, Canada on October 8, 2011.
