Of course the audience knew it was a mere sleight-of-hand trick but this writer really marvelled at the performance. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Some occupants of the VIP table were Blacktown City Cr. Charlie Lowles with his wife Alma, Temora Cr. Irene Broad, and FAME Director Lino Tomas. <\/p>\n<p>On stage as emcee was Rod Dingle who introduced several FAME awardees that include the Philippine National Rugby League Team \u2014 Carabaos, Mig Ayesa, Marianne Cuasay, Tina Ranoso Bangel, and Marilyn Mendez. <\/p>\n<p>Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis, and FAME Executive Director Ferdie Francisco presented a Certificate of Recogtion to Mark de Ubago of the Philippine National Rugby League. <\/p>\n<p>The team won the International 9&#8217;s 2012 recently held in Cabramatta NSW.<\/p>\n<p>Also present were Cesar Bartolome, founder of the Filipino Australian Movement for Empowerment (FAME) and Ross Iglesia who delivered the closing remarks. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As Benjie de Ubago, producer of the show would say, &#8220;have a magical evening.&#8221; And indeed it was \u2014 complete with the splendid performance of a real magician who converted crumpled paper into a live dove and &#8216;snow&#8217; out of nowhere.
