In the final round, with both fighters almost dead on their feet but going for broke, the non-stop action had the crowd screaming deliriously to the final bell. The judges&#8217; unanimous decision in favour of Badato met with the crowd&#8217;s approval.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">Badato&#8217;s older brother Michael dropped a close decision to <st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:country-region w:st=\"on\">Russia<\/st1:country-region><\/st1:place>&#8216;s Malik Omarov. Michael Badato is the Australian champion.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">Cheyna Rees, an Australian from Castle Hill in <st1:city w:st=\"on\">Sydney<\/st1:city>&#8216;s northwest, defeated <st1:country-region w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">South Africa<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>&#8216;s George Micouris with little trouble. Rees is the Asia Pacific light-welterweight champion.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\">Von, Michael and Cheyna are trained by another Filipino kick-boxing world champion, Reinhardt Badato, at the Full Force Gym, in the <st1:city w:st=\"on\">Sydney<\/st1:city> western suburb of <st1:city w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Blacktown<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>. They went for it in the last 10 seconds.
