{"id":2184,"date":"2012-10-03T04:52:10","date_gmt":"2012-10-02T18:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.philippinesentinel.org\/?p=2184"},"modified":"2012-10-03T04:52:10","modified_gmt":"2012-10-02T18:52:10","slug":"filipino-student-scores-perfect-in-2012-australian-mathematics-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.philippinesentinel.org\/?p=2184","title":{"rendered":"Filipino student scores perfect in 2012 Australian Mathematics Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twelve yr-old <strong>Farrell Eldrian Wu<\/strong>, a high school freshman from the MGC New Life Christian Academy in Taguig City, made a perfect score in the 2012 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This was announced on September 9 by the University of Canberra-based Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT), which has been conducting the annual AMC since 1976. <\/p>\n<p>Wu,  a mainstay of the Philippine math team, was one of only two students worldwide who scored 100 percent in this year\u2019s AMC, said the AMT in an e-mail to its local partner, the non-government Mathematics Trainers\u2019 Guild-Philippines (MTG).
