communications and advertising graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Miss Benjie de Ubago has recently been appointed a member of the Filipino Ministerial Consultative Committee. <\/p>\n
Her appointment was announced by Immigration Minister Chris Bowen, Multicultural Affairs Minister Kate Lundy and Federal Member for Chifley Ed Husic. <\/p>\n
Prior to coming to Australia, Miss de Ubago worked with the Department of Public Information in Malaca\u00f1ang Palace, Manila during the Marcos era. <\/p>\n
In Sydney, she did Publicity for Channel 9 and 7; was an advertising executive for Leo Burnett Advertising, and was the Promotions Manager for Paddy\u2019s Markets, Sydney Market Authority. <\/p>\n
Since then, she established her own company Ideas for Sale and has been very active with various Filipino associations.
