They are still short of funds but they are expecting help from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). However, according to <st1:place w:st=\"on\">Tara<\/st1:place>\u2019s mother, it will take some time before they could receive the money from PCSO. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\">The young graduate from Ateneo de Manila University appears to be doing well. She is homeward bound but will be in a wheelchair. Only God knows for how long. Her condition has remained stable during the past several weeks and her family is confident that she is on the road to full recovery. <\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\">Her mother believes that God kept <st1:place w:st=\"on\">Tara<\/st1:place> alive because He has a mission for her to accomplish. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\">A graduate of Ateneo de Naga, Tara\u2019s father Larry is organizing an anniversary musical concert on August 6, 2009, to celebrate <st1:place w:st=\"on\">Tara<\/st1:place>\u2019s birthday. It is also the first year anniversary when she was shot in the head inside a jeepney by a holdup gang who was after her laptop computer. She was in a coma and was confined in the Intensive Care Unit for several months. It was only recently when she recovered from her comatose condition.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\">Through a blog posted in the internet, the Filipino community worldwide became aware of what happened to Tara Santelices. Donations poured in trickles but were hardly enough to cover her hospital expenses. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 3pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\"><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial Narrow'\" lang=\"EN-US\">Through the Philippine Tribune, the Ateneo Alumni Association of Australia sent directly to the Santelices family a modest amount to help defray her hospital bill.
