This morning, I got a text message from a local source in Samar. The bodyguard of the mayor of Laoang, Northern Samar was stabbed by 2 men from the opposite camp.\u00a0 Laoang is the island town east of Catarman which is the provincial capital of Samar.<\/p>\n
In spite of his wounds, he was able to shoot dead the two assailants who were brothers.\u00a0 However, a third brother came around and finished him off.<\/p>\n
What is terrible is that he was chopped up into pieces, eyes gorged out, ears and tongue cut-off and his head was tossed around.\u00a0 This happened right at the town plaza.\u00a0 These things are happening and show how the life of the common tao has gone down to a very low level.\u00a0 There will be vendettas all around. The rich can protect themselves but their slaves can kill each other until a truce can be forged.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s really sad that these things are still happening at this time in our home country.<\/p>\n
