September 17, 2014.<\/span><\/strong> \u2014 The Philippine Institute of Vulcanology and Seismology <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=3902:mayon-volcano-bulletin-alert-level-3-15-september-2014-1000-pm&amp;catid=70:latest-volcano-bulletin&amp;Itemid=500008\">said in a statement<\/a>: &#8220;Mayon is exhibiting relatively high unrest and that magma is at the crater and that hazardous eruption is possible within weeks.&#8221;  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The government&#8217;s chief volcano official told the Associated Press that the volcano was already technically erupting, but there had not yet been an explosion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Currently, the activity is just lava coming down. If there is an explosion, all sides of the volcano are threatened,&#8221; said Renato Solidum.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses said molten lava at the top of the crater created a visible glow at night. The number of affected residents ranges from 12,000 to 50,000, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities believe they will be able to clear the area within three days.<\/p>\n<p>The 2,460m volcano last erupted in May 2013, killing four climbers and their guide.<\/p>\n<p>Mt Mayon has erupted more than 40 times since records began. The Bardarbunga volcano system has been rocked by hundreds of tremors daily since mid-August, prompting fears the volcano could explode.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Hawaii. September 16, 2014<\/span> \u2014 The eruption of K?lauea<\/strong> volcano continues from two locations. In the park, the summit eruption of K?lauea within Halema&#8217;uma&#8217;u Crater continues to offer the best, safest, and easiest eruption viewing. The second location originates from the Pu&#8217;u &#8216;?&#8217;? vent in the remote east rift zone.
