The official documentary on Australia&#8217;s elite Special Air Service (SAS) regiment was launched at the Government House in Canberra.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Blacktown RSL Club President <strong>Tom Baena<\/strong> and Secretary <strong>John O&#8217;Brien<\/strong> were official guests during the documentary launching which was hosted by H.E. General Sir Peter John Cosgrove, Governor General of Australia. The Blacktown RSL sub branch is a major sponsor of the SAS Documentary.<\/p>\n<p>The 11-part series, SAS Documentary which offered a rare glimpse<br \/>\ninside the secretive military unit was produced by Dr Bruce Horsfield.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I started twenty years ago, lost a few years here and there; after<br \/>\n9\/11 it was shelved, and various other interruptions \u2014 it doesn&#8217;t take<br \/>\nlong to roll the years up, that&#8217;s for sure,&#8221; Dr Horsfield said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>3 September 2015.
