The Club now participates in a project that provides meals for poor children in the Philippines.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The project will provide daily meals for 25 under-nurtured children for six days each week. On the seventh day, they will educate the children&#8217;s parents on effective provision of meals.<\/p>\n<p>This humanitarian project is being undertaken with the Paranaque Development Foundation in Manila.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the meals program, the Club has forwarded 300 pairs of spectacles, donated by <strong>All About Eyes Opticians<\/strong> of Kings Langley.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, Kings Langley Lions also donated $1000 to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in response to an appeal by Lions Clubs International.<\/p>\n<p>Kings Langley Lions Club president <strong>John Fernandes<\/strong>, said the Club was pleased to support needy people both in Australia and overseas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kings Langley Lions Club continues to support\u00a0 communities, both locally and internationally.
