A legendary coach, sportsman and beloved alumnus of Ateneo de Manila University. Coach Baby returned to our Creator on Wednesday, 17 August 2016. He was 92 years old.&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Coach Baby received the Ateneo Sports Hall of Fame (ASHOF) Award in 1979. Part of his citation reads:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA crack athlete who was popular as a cager at the Ateneo from 1947-49, a track and field star and captain of the Ateneo football team \u2026 a member of the champion PRISCO team of the MICAA and National Open, Baby Dalupan was elected to the Hall of Fame for being the greatest modern coach in Philippine basketball.<\/em> <em>At the Ateneo, he steered the Varsity team to two successive NCAA crowns in 1975 and 1976.
