‘Gels’ get ready for the big 5-0!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alumnae of STC QC C\u201970 affectionately call each other \u2018Gels\u2019, recalling their late mathematics professor Noemi Zamora\u2019s collective term for her students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silver jubilarians HS\u201995 and Golden jubilarians C\u201970 in partnership with St.\nTheresa\u2019s Alumnae Association (STAA) and other jubilarians are preparing a\nspectacular program with the theme \u201cKahit Kailan, Kahit Saan,\nTheresian <\/em>\u2501 #BalikSTC sa 2020<\/em>\u201d.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The homecoming aims to celebrate youth and friendship in a festive and\nnostalgic environment anchored on a shared past and Theresian values.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will also be a fund-raising action to support STAA projects, the maintenance\nof De Meester Residence and the Queen of Peace Convent, and other\nbeneficiaries.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Blue and Gold\u2019, the school colours, will be the unifying theme of the festivities to be held at the high school lawn, which Theresians fondly call \u2018Our playground\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass at the jubilarians in 2020 include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Class 1955 – 65 years – Sky blue<\/li>
  • Class 1960 – 60 years – Diamond<\/li>
  • Class 1965 – 55 years – Emerald<\/li>
  • Class 1975 – 45 years – Sapphire<\/li>
  • Class 1980 – 40 years – Ruby<\/li>
  • Class 1985 – 35 years – Coral<\/li>
  • Class 1990 – 30 years – Pearl<\/li>
  • Class 2000 – 20 years – Green<\/li>
  • Class 2005 – 15 years – Red<\/li>
  • Class 2010 – 10 years – Blue<\/li>
  • Class 2015 – 5 years – Turquoise <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    C\u201970 alumnae have organised mini-reunions in Manila in the lead up to their\ngolden jubilee as well as \u201cscouring for addresses\/contacts of classmates,\u201d\nquoting Evelyn Romero-Bondoc of the planning committee.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The STC College Department was transferred to Quezon City in 1966 from STC\nManila on San Marcelino St., which has since been sold to Adamson University.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Graduates of C\u201970 were the Freshmen when the college department began its\noperations on D. Tuazon Ave. corner Ma. Clara St., Quezon City. Courses at the\ntime included Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration,\nand Bachelor of Science in Commerce. \u03a9\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
