Philippine Sentinel columnist Benjie de Ubago made a query addressed to the Archbishop of Manila regarding the status of Fr. Raul del Prado. The Chancery of the Archdiocese of Manila has a record of all diocesan priests who were ordained in the Philippines.
The following response was obtained from the Chancery on Tuesday, March 1, 2011:
“On behalf of the Chancellor, Fr. Rufino Sescon, Jr., we wish to inform you that the Archdiocese of Manila has no records about Fr. Raul del Prado.”
May we suggest that you report the matter to your parish priest or to the Archdiocese of Sydney. They are in a better position to act on
your concern since it is within their jurisdiction.”
