Manila. April 12, 2011. GMA Network announced today that model and actress Iza Calzado would replace renowned crooner Regine Velasquez-Alcasid in I HEART YOU PARE following orders by Regine’s doctor for strict rest.
Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid will no longer play the role of Tonette/ Tonya in GMA Pinoy TV’s hit series I HEART YOU PARE beginning April 13. Due to a severe migraine, Regine has been advised by her physician to refrain from working long and late hours and to get as much rest as possible.
In light of this development, Ms. Iza Calzado will take over Regine’s role starting the same date. GMA Network has utmost confidence in Iza’s ability to play the colourful character of Tonette in the series.
Filipina actress, TV host, performer and model, Iza Calzado who won the Model Star Award from the Korea Asia Model Award Festival 2008 and starred in a number of films before co-hosting The Sweet Life on QTV 11, was excited to accept the challenge.
We encourage the fans and followers of I HEART YOU PARE to watch out for Iza’s steamy scenes with lead actor Dingdong Dantes, as well as thrilling twists that will appear in the coming weeks.
