NBN connection for Blacktown, Doonside and Woodcroft

Federal Member for Chifley Ed Husic welcomed the release of new detailed maps by NBN Co, showing where the new broadband network will be rolled out in Blacktown.

“This is an exciting step forward for residents in Blacktown – but it’s also great news for residents in blackspot areas such as Doonside and Woodcroft,” Mr Husic said.

“We are making real progress rolling out the NBN and the new network will bring superfast broadband to small businesses and households in our area.

“I’ve run a very active and vocal campaign speaking up for Woodcroft and Doonside residents who have been stuck in the internet “dark ages”.

“With Telstra’s cooperation and effort we’ve been able to spotlight the areas needing help and have got residents connected in the short term.

“NBN Co’s latest construction plans will mean long term relief and benefit for our neighbourhoods, businesses and economy.

“Within twelve months, construction of the NBN in Blacktown will be complete.

“Families and businesses will be able to connect to faster, more reliable broadband services. A standard initial connection to the home or office won’t cost the consumer anything – and services are already available on the NBN for under $30 a month.

“For more information on when the NBN is coming to your area, you can go to www.nbnco.com.au/rollout and type in your address.”
