ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Now 75 years old, Dr. Hermaneli Torrevillas is a General Practitioner and a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College. After graduation in 1966 from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical College (UERMMMC) in the Philippines, he worked at the hinterlands of Northern Philippines for 9 years. He migrated to Australia in 1976, worked in hospitals for 3 years and went into private practice from 1979 to 2010. Though now retired, he is considering going back into active practice of medicine.
