SYDNEY, NSW —   The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Australia – New South Wales Chapter held the second Oblation Cup Golf Tournament on 13 April for the continuing benefit of its Scholarship Grant project.

The event, named after UP’s famous icon, was held at the Woodville Golf Course in Guildford and was participated in by 69 players from different Sydney golf clubs.  Hitting the top this year were Sata Latu (overall champion), Jeremy Licuanan (Grade A winner), Dodee Leones (Grade B winner), Bernie Balagtas (Grade A runner-up) and Jerome Gaerlan (Grade B runner-up) who each received a trophy.  Leones was also among the “nearest to the pin” winners along with Wil Badiola, Rey Garcia, Carlos Perez and BJ Villa.

Now held annually on Easter Monday, the Oblation Cup was chaired by Engr. Ferdi and Dr. Cora Francisco, and was generously supported this year by major donors Reming Biala Pty. Ltd., Oscar Clemente, Albert Dionisio, Dr. Bernadette Dulawan and I-remit. Many thanks also to Atty.
