“Love, Manila: 10 Days, 10 Discoveries”

March 24, 2013 — After 20 years of living in Australia, Filipina writer Michelle Baltazar goes back to the city where she grew up — Manila. With the initial assignment of writing a handful of travel articles for the Filipino-Australian and mainstream media community, Michelle ended up taking a series of images that inspired her new coffee-table book titled “Love, Manila: 10 Days, 10 Discoveries”.

The 100-page book chronicles how she spent 10 days in the Philippines, mainly in Manila, and shows that there is more to discover in Manila than meets the eye.

But more than just another travel album, Love, Manila is also a collection of images that hold a personal meaning to the writer. The book shares the 10 reasons why she will always have unbreakable ties with the Philippines even if she now calls Australia home.

Ten days can seem like a blink of an eye for some, but for the writer, it was enough time to re-acquaint herself with a long-lost love.
