Member for Chifley, Ed Husic has welcomed the announcement by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd that Mount Druitt Hospital would receive $6 million for an MRI licence. The $6 million for a full Medicare licence for the MRI machine at Mt Druitt Hospital will give patients access to faster diagnosis of medical conditions. “Federal Labor’s record on health investment is strong,” said Husic. “Under Labor, we have seen more money, more beds and less waiting. In contrast, Tony Abbott and the Coalition would savagely cut health investment.” — Ed Husic
