Blacktown Rotary Club confers Pride of Workmanship Awards

During simple ceremonies held at the Marana Function Room of Blacktown Workers Club, the Blacktown Rotary Club conferred the Pride of Workmanship Award to three deserving employees: Carmel Gersbach of Myers Westpoint Shopping Centre in Blacktown; Yvonne Ford of Guardian Funerals; and Jenny Dumlao of McDonalds.

The aim of the Rotary “Pride of Workmanship” award is to encourage pride in personal performance of employees in the workplace, and to help create a national attitude for the benefit of our country.

Since its launching by Rotary Club International in 1975, the programme has been adopted by over 600 Rotary Clubs in Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Malaysia, Canada and United States.

Rotary International was founded in Chicago in 1915 and established in Australia in 1921.

Dinner meetings are held every Tuesday evenings at Blacktown Workers Club starting with a fellowship at 6:00pm.

The Four-Way Test

The test of things said and done by Rotarians worldwide is a moral code for personal and business relationships: 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
