Bulseco gets elected as VP/Ext in PCC Board; resigns a few days later

There were conflicting reports about the resignation of Alric Bulseco from the Board of the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCC-NSW). Some said that he did not resign while others confirmed that he did, even referring to an email he sent addressed to president-elect Jun Relunia and other members of the new board. Still, there were reports that he actually resigned but that his resignation was not accepted by the board and that such non-acceptance was unanimous.

To get things straight, Philippine Sentinel decided to contact Bulseco and found out that he suffered a mild heart attack in the afternoon of March 20. Bulseco said he experienced some chest pains and difficulty in breathing. (Just a few months ago, Bulseco had a pacemaker imbedded on his chest to regulate his heart beat.)

He was in his office and was planning to attend the PCC board meeting scheduled that same night. But officemates called an ambulance to take him to hospital. Thus, he did not attend the board meeting and instead sent an email addressed to all the members of the PCC board. His email read: “Due to personal and health reasons, it is with deep regret that I tender my resignation as an officer of PCC effective immediately.”

Bulseco confirmed that he was contacted by PCC director Evelyn Beed asking him to reconsider and retract his resignation. As of press time, Bulseco’s resignation is still hanging in the air.
