Born on August 13, 1990 in Calgary Alberta Canada, Kayla Rivera Iovan now currently resides in Quezon City Philippines to try her luck in the Philippine Entertainment Industry. In Calgary she had won numerous awards in singing and beauty competitions. She was the 1st Singing Star Search Grand Prize winner sponsored by Barrio Fiesta Restaurant, and 1st runner Up in the Filipino Village Singing Competition, Miss Philippines Calgary.
The competition started last month. Elimination rounds are held every Sunday Philippine time. The competition is judged by Billy Crawford, Mitch Valdes and Bobot hosted by Sharon Cuneta and co-anchored by Erik Santos and Christian Bautista who themselves are products of singing competitions.
