Australia recalls Ambassador over Indonesia executions

Australia Foreign Minister Julie Bishop announced she has recalled the country’s ambassador to Indonesia after two of its citizens, Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan, were executed for drugs offenses.

“We respect Indonesia’s sovereignty but we do deplore what’s been done and this cannot be simply business as usual,” said Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

After all the courtesies have been extended to the Sukumaran and Chan families, the Australian Ambassador packed up and returned to Canberra
