In a telephone interview with Filipino media representatives, Philippine Australian Community Foundation Chairman Mansueto Villon confirmed that the Filipino Multi-Purpose Centre in Schofields has been sold for AU$2.5 million. The undisclosed buyer was reported to have made a down payment of AU$250,000 with the balance payable within 90 days. Villon is confident that after paying all debts, the remainder of some AU$1 million will enable them to buy a smaller property.
