3 September 2015. The official documentary on Australia’s elite Special Air Service (SAS) regiment was launched at the Government House in Canberra.
Blacktown RSL Club President Tom Baena and Secretary John O’Brien were official guests during the documentary launching which was hosted by H.E. General Sir Peter John Cosgrove, Governor General of Australia. The Blacktown RSL sub branch is a major sponsor of the SAS Documentary.
The 11-part series, SAS Documentary which offered a rare glimpse
inside the secretive military unit was produced by Dr Bruce Horsfield.
“I started twenty years ago, lost a few years here and there; after
9/11 it was shelved, and various other interruptions — it doesn’t take
long to roll the years up, that’s for sure,” Dr Horsfield said.
