Dr. Julie Nunez, OAM, conducted a Diabetes Awareness Information Session last April 20 & 27 and May 11, 2018 at the Blacktown City Library.
The workshop, aimed at providing practical information on how to identify diabetes; how to prevent its onset and how to manage it, was attended by members of the Filipino community and non-Filipino spouses.
The three-day workshop was sponsored by the Western Sydney Health District Multicultural Unit and the Philippine Health Care Association of Australia-Philippine Nurses Association.
Julie Nunez is a community leader and a Bilingual Health Educator. She is well-trained and is very passionate about disseminating health information to help members of the community be well informed of healthy lifestyle.
