Official Statement from the 2010 PCC NSW Board of Directors

We acknowledge the concerns and opinions of all those who have expressed themselves in electronic mails. We are also aware of the allegations voiced out by the opposition (some were members of the 2009 board) who failed to make it to the current board. It was their choice to forfeit the election by withdrawing their nominations.

As previously stated, the membership review was an initiative of the 2009 Board. It was primarily aimed at restoring the image and credibility of PCC as a peak body. It was mandated by the concerns of the general community over issues that have plagued PCC in the past. It was not the intention of the 2009 Board to aggrieve anyone or go on a finger-pointing expedition.

Rest assured, the 2010 Board will remain vigilant and will continue to reassess membership concerns not for our own interest, not for a selected few, not only for PCC, but for the Filipino community in general.

Our main concern is to continue to be of service to the Filipino community at large, not the selected few.

It is not the intention of the 2010 Board to engage in petty mud-slinging matches on electronic mails as it would serve no purpose. We intend to conduct ourselves professionally, with dignity and integrity, as true representatives of the Filipino community.

We move on with a clear conscience and we are cognizant of the fact that we have been placed in these positions as promulgated by the constitution and by the choice of the legitimate clubs, for which we are truly grateful.

Yours sincerely,
(signed)
