Blacktown City Councillor Allan Green announced that thousands of Lions Club International members will arrive this month for the Sydney International Lions Convention. Green was recently elected as the new president of the Riverstone Lions Club.
“There will be delegates from all over the world attending the Sydney convention to celebrate the great charity work being carried out by Lions International in its bid to make the world a better place,” Mr. Green added.
About 600 Lions from the Philippines are expected to attend the convention. Twelve delegates will be coming from the Bahaghari Executive Lions Club in Quezon City. Lions International is a very strong charity organisation in the Philippines which does a lot of good work to help the needy sections of the community.
