The US move to send warships and fighter planes in Philippine territory to control China’s aggression and greed needs to be done. The Philippines has been asking for this. The US and the Philippines and other allies and other friendly nations have no choice but to incapacitate these rushed Chinese military constructions in Philippine territory ASAP — using military force if necessary as announced by US Pacific Fleet Commander Harry Harris and Defence Secretary Ashton Carter.
These military constructions are in line with China’s devious plan to control and own the Philippines’ enormous oil and marine resources – using plain raw military might. They have no moral, legal nor any conceivable legitimate right to claim and invade the Philippines 200 mile Exclusive Economic Zone under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Once these military structures and bases are established, China will station fighter planes and other war aircraft, warships and missiles there. It will then be practically impossible to remove them. These will also threaten the national security and future well being of the Philippines and other surrounding nations. It’s not only international trade routes at risk but also world peace and global stability. If China does not cease these constructions, the Philippines, the U.S. and their powerful allies and friendly nations should not hesitate to destroy them. This is a legitimate moral self defense action against a rogue nation acting in bad faith and showing no respect for international law, the property rights of other nations and the world’s precious ecological integrity.
This U.S. action will be lauded and supported by the civilized nations of our planet earth.
China’s military leaders who are promoting this unacceptable bullying behaviour and who are actually hurting their people by their actions — are clearly out of line.
