Lions Club provides meals for poor children in the Philippines

The Kings Langley Lions Club continues to support  communities, both locally and internationally. The Club now participates in a project that provides meals for poor children in the Philippines.

The project will provide daily meals for 25 under-nurtured children for six days each week. On the seventh day, they will educate the children’s parents on effective provision of meals.

This humanitarian project is being undertaken with the Paranaque Development Foundation in Manila.

In addition to the meals program, the Club has forwarded 300 pairs of spectacles, donated by All About Eyes Opticians of Kings Langley.

In the past, Kings Langley Lions also donated $1000 to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in response to an appeal by Lions Clubs International.

Kings Langley Lions Club president John Fernandes, said the Club was pleased to support needy people both in Australia and overseas.
