Incumbent Ateneo Alumni Australia President Miguel “Mike” Alvarez has announced that he attended the All-Ateneo Alumni Convention in California this October. He was accompanied by his wife.
The convention is an annual event that started 13 years ago initiated by Dr. Rodrigo “Jun” Farrales, MD who despite his ripe age of 74, has been physically fit and very active in Ateneo alumni affairs. He is supported by his Chicago-based brother Jesse Farrales who is likewise an alumnus of the same prestigious university.
Alvarez, who will be using his own personal funds, revealed that a similar All-Ateneo Convention is being planned for Sydney next year. Mike Alvarez is an alumnus of Ateneo de Naga High School. ━ dmc
