A favourite hors d’oeuvre amongst Filipinos is the fresh prawn roll, a special blend of minced pork, prawn, lettuce and pickles wrapped in rice paper. It comes with a delectable sauce sprinkled with peanuts. Waiting time does not normally exceed 15 minutes. More often, the appetizer is served within minutes from the time the order is placed.

There is a wide variety to choose from for the entrée or the main course. This writer loves the bonfire prawns which is cooked in a hotpot right at the table. It is a sizzling blend of prawns with onion and served with rice paper, lettuce, herbs, pickles and anchovy sauce. The surprised diner can wrap and prepare the dish to his/her own liking.
